Ok…I am supposed to be writing my dissertation Dr. Procrastinator is what they should call me…I seem to be able to find anything, I mean anything to write about but my topic. I really have lost interest…how does this happen? Has it happened to you? I was talking to a friend of mine and he said he even bought a voice recognition program to help him with the writing practice….clever stall maneuver. (I might have to look into that…)

Hey, i know exactly how you feel. 12 months back from fieldwork, and have only about 60 pages, mostly crap. My committee members seem afraid to give me too much criticism, maybe it will make me stop altogether, haha. I’m not really uninterested, just kind of lost with all this unstructured time. I used to work 2-3 jobs at a time, go to school, etc. Now I have funding, and can’t seem to make myself do anything during the day. BUT, the one thing that keeps me going is a writing group i’m in with two other women. I highly suggest that, and making sure that you are hard on each other in the group with weekly/monthly deadlines.
