Why not try it…really this is just another stall tactic. You see dear reader I’m supposed to be writing my dissertation however, I am managing to find everything else in the world to do right now including starting this blog.

Hey again, I started a blog in the spring last year, too, trying to make myself write ANYTHING. I wrote a few posts, and then nothing for several months. Now I’m back at trying to get things going.
Advice? Just start writing, even stuff that you think is crap. It just gets the
‘juices’ flowing. I started with all the background stuff about my fieldsite that was in my head and not in my notes. Things that I felt needed to be known by readers so they would understand the rest of the dissertation. It may or may not end up in the final version, but at least I got it out of my head, and removed a big mental block at the time. Now I’m trying to do funding applications for next year. Ugh. More time away from writing!
